Representatives from across the Taiwanese film industry appear in a new video trailer campaign launched on August 1, 2010, to say “Thank You’ to movie fans for choosing to watch legitimate movies at the cinema, or at home with DVDs, on TV or online.

The Taiwan Foundation Against Copyright Theft (TFACT) was established in 2007 by the Motion Picture Association to protect the film industry in Taiwan from the adverse impact of piracy. TFACT works closely with industry, government, law enforcement authorities and educational institutions to protect the film and television industry, retailers and movie fans in Taiwan.

Education is crucial in the fight against piracy. Many people don't know what copyright theft is and are unaware of its serious consequences. TFACT is committed to raising awareness of this important issue and is taking its copyright education campaign to schools and universities around the Greater China region as well as the workplace.
